Terms of Service
Effective date: 8 July 2026 · Last updated: 8 July 2026
These terms govern your use of Northtape at app.marcomfin.tech. By creating an account or using the app you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
- Northtape is a free, informational news and market intelligence app. It is not financial advice, and we are not a broker, exchange, wallet or adviser.
- AI-generated summaries and briefs can be wrong. Always verify against the cited source before acting.
- Don't abuse the service: no scraping at scale, no reselling, no attempts to bypass rate limits or security.
- You keep ownership of what you save; we keep ownership of the app.
- Singapore law governs these terms.
1. The service
Northtape aggregates publicly available news and market data on cryptocurrency, fintech, blockchain, stablecoins and regulation, and generates AI summaries, briefs and alerts from it. The service is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available". We do not promise uninterrupted availability, and third-party data sources may be delayed, incomplete or unavailable — the app labels data freshness where it can.
2. Not financial advice
Everything in the app — including news categorisation, AI summaries, daily briefs, sentiment labels and chat answers — is informational only. It is not investment, legal, tax or trading advice, and no content constitutes a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any asset. Northtape is not licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore or any other financial regulator, and is not a broker, exchange, custodian, wallet provider or investment adviser. You are solely responsible for your decisions.
3. AI-generated content
AI outputs are generated from the cited articles and live market data, but AI can misread, omit or overstate. Citations are provided so you can verify every key claim — do so before relying on anything. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of AI output.
4. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old. Keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it current.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- scrape, harvest or bulk-download content or data from the app;
- bypass, probe or overload rate limits, authentication or other security controls;
- resell, sublicense or misrepresent the service or its output as your own product;
- use the app for unlawful activity, market manipulation or spam;
- infringe the intellectual property rights of the news publishers we link to.
6. Your content and our IP
You own the preferences and inputs you save (watchlists, keywords, questions). You grant us the licence needed to store and process them to run the service — nothing more. The app, its design, code and branding remain ours. News headlines and excerpts remain the property of their publishers and always link back to the original source.
7. Third-party links and referrals
The app links out to news publishers and contains a personal referral link to Tangem (a hardware wallet vendor), from which the operator may derive a benefit if you make a purchase. Third-party sites have their own terms and policies; we are not responsible for them.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law (including the Singapore Unfair Contract Terms Act), we exclude liability for indirect, consequential and economic loss, including trading or investment losses, arising from use of the app or reliance on its content. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to SGD 100. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud.
9. Indemnity
You will indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these terms or your unlawful use of the service.
10. Termination
You may stop using the app or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, and may modify or discontinue the free service with reasonable notice where practicable.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in-app before they take effect. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance. Contact: privacy@marcomfin.tech.
Questions or requests: privacy@marcomfin.tech. See also our Privacy Policy, Terms of Service and Cookie Policy.
